| Stowa Watch |
Stowa - the German Quality Watch. This is how the traditional pforzheim brand, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2002, advertised during its heyday.
Stowa was founded in 1927 in Hornberg, Germany by Walter Storz. In the 1930s and '40s the company situated in the Black Forest produced especially high-quality, reliable watches. The degree of excellence achieved by the watches brought Stowa a good reputation, and their pilot's and observation watches were of special note. These watches had to be completely precise and trustworthy as they were
used in ways that demanded 100 percent accuracy. The pilot in his cockpit had to be just as sure as the officer on deck of his ship that his watch was correct. In the 1940s Stowa was one of the five most famous German manufacturers of pilot's and marine watches. These and other historic Stowa models can be admired in the Stowa watch museum maintained by the current owner of the brand Jorg Schauer.

The brand's elementary concept is being continued in this day and age. The watches are as striking in their visuals as in their absolute functionality. In this way the old pilot's watches, their designs unfailingly adapted, have today become luxury wristwatches, and their technical straightforwardness and uncomplicated clarity have also been kept. Alongside the pilot's series, a new marine series - also historical in nature - is being produced. In keeping with the motto, "characteristically original- the details of a Stowa," all Stowa watches are striking in their attention to detail.
Nearly every piece of every serial watch undergoes its own individual revision and checking. That the watches are "made in Germany" and thus labeled is enough reason for the new owners of the name to deliver the highest-quality products.
