It was thirty years ago that Emile Pequignet founded his own watch company in France's Franche-Cornte region, just on the other side of the border from the part of the watchmaking
Jura that Switzerland possesses. In his early years, he quickly realized that his talent lay in the design of the product, and this self-taught watch enthusiast launched a trendy collection of higher-priced watches in 1973.
In the meantime, the company has made a name for itself with its four main lines: Moorea, Carneleone, Sorella, and Equus. The Moorea line was created in 1984 and forms the heart of the collection. The line between watch and bracelet is unclear, both parts melting into one singular object made of time and metal. The timepieces seem like they were cast in a harmonious symbiosis of design and horological art. The
bracelet comprising individual links bound together on the wrist was the model for an entire collection of jewelry: bracelets, rings, and necklaces.
Ten years later, the Carneleone model received many prizes. The patented strap change system allows the strap to be replaced in the blink of an eye by simply pressing the crown, and the choice of colorful straps com posed of every different material was huge right from the start. Cameleone's little sister, Sorella, and the newest addition to the family, Lady, were created according to the same principle.

The last few years have seen the watch collection completed. Now joining the watches is a large jewelry collection which also encompasses masculine accessories such as cufflinks and tiepins in addition to table clocks and ballpoint
Emile Pequignet is good at communicating the values represented by his company to his employees - quality is first on the list. Movements, hands, and dials are all purchased from reputable Swiss suppliers, but the watches are all assembled and given their final onceŽthrough in his own workshops. A three-year guarantee and a professional customer service department are natural matters of course to him. To honor the thirtieth anniversary of his company, Pequignet has created a watch entitled 30 Ans (30 years) featuring a movement that has been skeletonized by hand. It will be sold in a limited and numbered edition of 30 pieces.
